*** Household Cleaning Tips ***

Once in a while, I run across information that makes my life so much easier. Sometimes with our busy schedules we make things harder, so I'm passing these along to help make your new year easier. These were taken from the Consumer Reports Books "How To Clean Practically Anything".

BLENDERS - How to Clean them without cutting your hands
As an alternative to hand washing, fill with water, add a few drops of hand dishwashing liquid, cover, and blend the solution on the Stir setting for 10 to 20 seconds or until the sides are clean; then rinse thoroughly.

COMPUTER KEYBOARDS - How did it get so dirty?
Vacuum keyboards regularly, using the soft brush attachment. To dislogge particles of dirt and dust, turn the keyboard upside down and hit it several times with the flat of your hand. You can also use a can of compressed air (available from electronics stores). Periodically, clean the keys with either a lint free cloth dipped in rubbing alcohol or a commercial keyboard wipe. Be sure to unplug the keyboard first, or shut the computer off.

GREASY DIRT - Yuk
Pine oil in some all-purpose cleaners helps penetrate and loosen greasy dirt.

PINE PITCH - on your hands, in your hair, on your jeans
Rub peanut butter into the spot, let sit for a minute and then wash off with hand or dish soap. Works like a charm.

SMOKE DETECTORS - you have to clean them?
To keep detectors operating properly, vacuum them annually, cleaning with the vacuum wand from a full powered canister cleaner, if possible. If a detector has a fixed cover, pass the wand across the cover's openings. If a detector's cover is removable, ently vacuum the sensor chambers.

Holland Bar Stools

Superb Quality and Lower Pricing
Featuring Wood and Metal Stools

Holland's Metal and Wood Barstools are competively priced, while offering significantly better design and stronger construction than others on the market.
The Wood barstools are made of solid hard oak and maple and are made to mix and match to your needs. The metal stools are manufactured from high quality plating grade steel, all finishes feature an oven baked epoxy/polyester powder coating to resist scuffing, chipping, and peeling.

Holland's 7 step state of the industry finishing system for their metal stools, which cleans and etches to enhance adhesion, insures longer lasting expectations of customers who demand the best. All structural joints are MIG welded for maximum strength. They do not insert round members in holes and spot weld, as do their competitors.
