*** TLC WOOD FURNITURE CARE ***

With just a little TLC (tender loving care), genuine hardwood furniture will last a lifetime - several lifetimes, in fact. Consider great grand-pappy's roll-top desk: a valued treasure passed on from generation to generation. Taking good care of your solid hardwood furniture ensures its longevity. It's quite easy and mostly a matter of common sense.

It’s surprisingly simple to protect hardwood's natural beauty, and to even enhance. It just needs some tender loving care. Here are a few tips from the experts:
  • Read and follow the manufacturer's care directions carefully and keep them handy for future reference.
  • Dust with a soft cloth by following the grain pattern of the wood. Use an old cotton T-shirt, baby diaper or soft, absorbent cotton fabric.
  • Dust often to remove everyday abrasive particles from wood surfaces. Before dusting, moisten cloth lightly with a spray product. A dry cloth can leave hairline scratches on the finish.
  • Surfaces also can be cleaned with a mild non-alkaline soap and water. Use the suds on a damp sponge or cloth, but be sure to pre-test the solution on an out-of-sight-section making sure it doesn't damage the finish. Dry immediately with a soft cloth and buff lightly, again following the grain.
  • Wood finishes benefit from an occasional waxing or polishing. A paste wax can be applied every six to twelve months. Remove old wax first with a mild non-alkaline soap and water solution.
  • Avoid waxing urethane-finished furniture. Waxing these surfaces causes them to gather dust and dirt rather than repel it.

    CLASSIC LEATHERMEN'S ALL LEATHER FURNITURE

    Superb Quality and Lower Pricing
    Featuring Leather Sectionals
    and
    Leather Sofas & Chairs

Leathermen's   has, since its inception in 1975, used only the finest, time tested construction techniques. Beginning with kiln dried hardwood frames and double cone coil springs 8-way hand tied over interlaced webbing and steel straps, then on to filling materials of the finest polyester fibers and support fabrics which are both strong and mold and mildew resistant. Polyfoams are of high density and, where possible, all seat cushions are of innerspring construction and completely encased in tightly woven muslin.

This feature gives you true coil spring over coil spring construction. All items are hand cut and sewn using ultra strong bonded nylon threads. All areas of upholstery are double covered and all rails are well padded, even in areas that don't show. Brass nails, when used, are solid brass, never brass plated steel, which will rust.

The leathers used, some 200 of them, are all full top grain and are selected for quality, not price. These leathers are hand graded and sorted to insure the best possible color match prior to being applied to the customers selection of style.
